About The Sawmill Creek Band
The Sawmill Creek Band has been fondly called Wyoming's Ambassadors of Music.
One look at the breathtaking Teton mountains and the beauty that is Wyoming and it's not hard to see why Bruce Hauser was inspired to write so many songs in honor of the west and the western way of life - or should we say Wild Western Way Of Life?
Sawmill Creek is Wyoming's original and beloved country western music band best known for their outstanding performances of the Hauser-penned originals that have stimulated their success. Inspired by his love of the natural grandeur of the Grand Tetons, and his respect for the strong, vital character of the people from his Jackson Hole home, Bruce Hauser's compositions reflect the heart of grass roots America.
-
"A husky and alluring vocal style"
"Absolutely magnificent songs"
"Major-league product in every way"
"Bruce Hauser may be Jackson Hole's best kept secret"
With quotes and comments like these from people prominent on the country music scene, it's no wonder that Bruce Hauser and The Sawmill Creek Band gained the momentum and earned a reputation throughout the west as the hottest number on the honky-tonk circuit.
Bruce Hauser, a master of the acoustic guitar and five-string banjo, has been singing, performing, and writing original compositions since he was 14 years old and had his first band - he on guitar and a friend on drums.
Bruce Hauser founded the Sawmill Creek Band in 1973 and since that time, the Wild Western Windblown Band, as they are affectionately known (after their first album of the same name) has accumulated an impressive array of credits.
Over the years, from 1978 to 1990, the band has released six albums. In 2002, the first three albums, WILD WESTERN WINDBLOWN BAND, BARELY GETTIN' BY and WE RIDE TOGETHER were digitally remastered for CD and re-released. The official web site of THE SAWMILL CREEK BAND was launched in 2002 and redesigned in January 2010. Bruce released his latest CD, CHANGES, in September 2005.
The Sawmill Creek Band in all their glory. The Tetons look pretty swell too!
